A Daniel Candeias double as well as strikes from Jermain Defoe and Connor Goldson gave Gerrard’s men the impressive victory. The game was also notable for the return of Jamie Murphy after 11 months out with a knee injury.
The friendly victory came in between games against St. Joseph’s in the Europa League qualifiers. Rangers are well placed to go through to the second round having won 4-0 in Gibraltar.
