Leeds could be front of the queue for Reiss Nelson after a report from the Mirror claimed the Arsenal wonderkid will be loaned out this summer.
What’s the word?
Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has taken some considerable flak from Leeds fans in recent weeks. His Twitter rant after the Wolves game was quite simply embarrassing, and he later told TalkSport he wants to copy the model Wolves have used to create their success.
Radrizzani was upset that Wolves’ connections with player agents had allowed them to secure elite players like Ruben Neves, but now says he hopes to use his own contacts to help Leeds in a similar fashion.
Back in 2016, Radrizzani gave up his shares and directorship in an agency called Football Capital because he thought it would be against EFL regulations, so they may be his first port of contact. One of the first names featured on the Football Capital website is Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson, who the Mirror now claims will be loaned out this summer – see where we’re going with this?
Without wanting to put two and two together to make 100, could Nelson be one of Radrizzani’s targets?

Would he be a good fit?
The Mirror report claims Nelson will be loaned out to gain first team experience. The Championship would be perfect for the 18-year-old, as anything lower risks a severe drop-off in quality and anything higher does not guarantee regular playing time.
Leeds may have had a torrid season, but they are still a huge club, so it’s hardly ridiculous to think they could be on the shortlist of clubs ready to approach Arsenal for Nelson.
The young attacker can play anywhere across the attack and would bring the type of flair and excitement that has so often been lacking at Elland Road this season. While he is hardly the finished article, he would be a great signing for Leeds if Radrizzani can come through on his promises.
