Senegal did not show too much urgency at the start of the match, having already qualified for the knockout stage, and it was little surprise when the first half ended goalless.
Sadio Mane had a golden opportunity to break the deadlock just 11 minutes into the second half as he intercepted the ball from a Guinea defender and found himself one-on-one with Ibrahim Kone. The winger went past the goalkeeper but due to a heavy touch, failed to keep the final shot on target.
In the 61st minute, the Lions of Teranga finally opened the scoring when Abdoulaye Seck headed the ball into the goal from Krepin Diatta's inch-perfect free-kick.
Second-half substitute Iliman Ndiaye sealed the fate of the game in stoppage time as he scored following a pass from Mane to maintain his team's 100% win record in the group stage.

Former Liverpool star Mane had a frustrating outing against Guinea as he failed to find the back of the net despite getting quite a few opportunities. In the 56th minute, he missed the easiest of chances to break the deadlock but failed to keep his shot on target in an empty goal. He did score a goal towards the end of the game but it was ruled out due to offside.
WHAT COMES NEXT?
The Kalidou Koulibaly-led side will head into the knockout stage with an 100% record and are set to play their round of 16 match on January 29. Guinea too made it to the next round, despite the defeat, qualifying as one the best third-ranked teams.
