Sunderland have been linked with star Shrewsbury duo Aristote Nsiala and Jon Nolan.
What’s the story?
According to the Chronicle, Chris Coleman was in attendance for Shrewsbury’s win over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday to watch centre back “Toto” Nsiala.
This report comes just days after the Shropshire Star reported that the Black Cats are chasing Shrewsbury midfield star Jon Nolan.
Shrewsbury are flying in League One at the moment, locked in a three way battle for the automatic promotion spots with Wigan and Blackburn.
Coleman reportedly wants to bring the impressive pair to the Stadium of Light this summer, as he looks to build a squad capable putting Sunderland back where fans expect them to be.

Could the Black Cats pull it off?
There’s no doubting the quality of the Shrewsbury duo. Nsiala has been an absolute wall at the back for the promotion chasers this season, and has even managed to pitch in with three goals. The 26 year-old defender went through Everton’s youth academy, and has spent time Accrington Stanley and Grimsby before finding his feet at Shrewsbury.
Nolan has been equally impressive, scoring eight times from midfield this season. The 25 year-old joined Shrewsbury from Chesterfield last season and has been an integral part of their promotion push.
Of course, if Shrewsbury get promoted and Sunderland go down, it could be difficult to convince the pair to leave. Some players are willing to go down a division to join a bigger club though, as Matt Ritchie proved when he left Premier League Bournemouth for Newcastle.
Nsiala and Nolan aren’t going to set the world alight, but they would walk into the current Sunderland side.
